New State Law Bans Phones Throughout Texas Public Schools

The new HB 1481 officially bans the use of cell phones and other personal communication devices during public school hours in Texas. This includes smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and any device capable of telecommunication or digital communication that is not issued by the school. Schools are required to have secure storage of the devices or ban the students from bringing them on campus completely. Check with your district for more information.
